BE PRAYERFUL

What common sense will do for you, prayers will not do it. If you don't practice personal hygiene, no amount of prayer will keep your body from smelling. Prayer is no substitute for hard work. And hard work is no substitute for prayer. The two must work hand in hand. That's why when you pray, you have to move your feet. Yes, pray that you will get a job soon, but prepare a winning resume, apply for jobs, prepare yourself for possible interviews. And if nothing seem to work, find out why and change your strategy or direction (if you must). Yes, keep praying that your children will grow up to become responsible adults. But discipline and correct them when they go wrong. Guide them to walk in integrity. Teach them to be respectful. Be an example to them in how they ought to live life. And invest into their education. Yes, we need to pray for our nation. But we need to also put in place just laws and establish strong institutions. We need to have sense of vision as a nation. We need to vote for the right leaders. And we need to care for one another. Be hardworking. Be prayerful!
